lease, please, help me win! I am so close. I’ve been chosen as one of the top 5 finalists for OXO’s “The Biggest Oxoniac” Video Contest. There will be 3 grand prize winners who will get to go to New York to film how-to demos, and win $1,000 in OXO products.

It has been a crazy, crazy fun week. I made a video, posted it online, and emailed and linked it to everyone I know. After posting it on Facebook and Twitter, I started to get 100 views per minute during that hour. Most people have 200-300 views on their video, I have 3,500, with a 5 star rating! All my friends, family, and co-workers are as gung-ho about this as I am. Thanks everyone, it means a lot.

Here’s what OXO wrote to me:

I just read your blog post about only hearing about the contest 3 days ago. I’m SO glad you entered. Your video had us all rolling around in laughter, but more importantly your demo of the Jar Opener was fantastic! Congratulations on being selected as one of our 5 Finalists!

You can vote once a day until Wed, December 15th at www.oxocontest.com. I don’t think you need to login to Facebook to vote, even though it says “Facebook Connect” at the top. (By the way, it looks like their voting mechanism is IP sensitive.) So vote for me, and two others that you think are awesome. (P.S. Big Jon seems like a cool guy, and his video is good.)
