The Real Fun Stuff

Finding other ways to communicate my ideas allow me to think big. Here are some projects that found their way out of a computer screen, as well as some personal projects of mine that I’m passionate about.

Background

paulachang.jpg Growing up in the Silicon Valley fueled my passion for technology, and my curiosity fuels my creativity. I believe that good web design is more than just pictures and colors; it’s about solving problems in new ways, helping others find their voice, and making complex systems easier to understand.

Before joining Mule Design, I was a visual designer at SolutionSet, where I was the lead designer for Stanford Alumni, SourceForge, AliasDesign (Autodesk), and Stuart Foundation. I’m excited to be both a designer and developer at Mule, which allows me to discover different ways to communicate ideas.

Work & Education

I graduated from San José State University in 2007 with a BFA in Graphic Design, and a minor in Humanities.

I then became a visual designer at SolutionSet where I did branding, logo development, website design, and online marketing for various clients.

I am now a designer and developer at Mule Design.

What They’re Saying
“Paula is a brilliant designer. She requires very little direction to get the heart of a company’s message down in visuals. Even her rough work is presented professionally and she represents the company and herself in a very polished manner in person. I love working with her and am going to keep requesting her on projects!”
- Shawna Seth, Associate Project Manager, SolutionSet LLC
“Her title might be ‘designer’, but Paula Chang has got a little bit of project management in her as well. She’s extremely organized: summarizes client design feedback well, presents concise lists of questions/clarifications she needs in order to start a project, keeps a to-do list for herself. To say nothing of her actual design work, which impresses again and again.”
- Emily Ostendorf, Project Manager, SolutionSetLLC
