Craft Network is an organization dedicated to helping disadvantaged artisans by improving their standard of living through ethical trading practices and generating employment. They needed two things: a brand, and a website that both sold the artisan handicrafts as well as tell the stories and rich cultures behind them.
What I Did
I began the research process by pinpointing Craft Network’s values, observing their process, understanding their audience, and eventually, helping them find their brand. I designed the logo with the idea of “strength in unity” – a tight-knit community of artisans that rely on each other both in their part of the world as well as worldwide.
Results
The website showcases stories from the artisans, contributing to the eclectic patchwork of goods and people that make up Craft Network.
